"When it comes to girls (and in Colin's case, it so often did), everyone has a type. Colin Singleton's type was not physical but linguistic: he liked Katherines…He had dated nineteen girls. All of them had been named Katherine. And all of them -every single solitary one- had dumped him."
After being dumped by Katherine XIX, Colin Singleton sets out on a road trip in a huge gray Oldsmobile called Satan's Hearse with his best friend Hassan. They end up in the town of Gutshot, Tennessee, living with and working for Lindsey Lee Wells and her mama, Hollis, in a pink mansion bought by Lindsey's grandfather who built the factory that employees half the town making the strings that go into tampons.
If that doesn't get you to read the story, I don't know what will.
There are several things I loved about An Abundance of Katherines by John Green.
I think you are going to love him, too.
