Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Who are you, really?
Kids, teachers, and librarians, mostly. Check out the "alter ego" info under each review for details.
  2. Do you get paid to do this?
Nope. None of us get compensated in any way for our reviews. (Sometimes the editor does make cookies, but that probably doesn't count.)
  3. Can I request that you review something?
If you know of something that our readers would like, send us an email telling us what it is and why you think we should review it. Remember that we only review published material.
  4. Can I write a review?
If you want to apply to be a reviewer, email us! Remember that you have to be willing to review materials we assign to you and not just ones you pick. Also, if you're under 18, you must have your parent's or guardian's permission.
  5. How can you have "frequently-asked questions" when this is a brand-new website?
The HMS Libris is a timeship. These are the questions our navigator feels will be frequently asked in the future. Unless she's wrong.
